H-shaped Steel

H-shaped steel is an economic cross-section efficient profile with more optimized section area distribution and more reasonable strength-weight ratio, which is named because its cross section has the same shape as the English letter “H”. All the parts of H-shaped steel are arranged at right angle, so H-shaped steel features strong bending resistance, simple construction, cost conservation, light structural weight and other advantages in all directions, and has been widely applied.

Types:
H-shaped steel is divided into hot-rolled H-shaped steel and welded H-shaped steel (H), wherein hot-rolled H-shaped steel is divided into H-shaped wide-flange steel (HW), H-shaped medium-flange steel (HM) and H-shaped narrow-flange steel (HN).
HW with basically equal H-shaped steel height and flange width is mainly used for steel-core columns in reinforced concrete frame structure columns, which are also called power armored steel columns and are mainly used for columns in steel structures.
HM of which the H-shaped steel height and flange width have the approximate ratio of 1.33~1.75 is mainly used as steel frame columns in steel structures, as well as frame beams in frame structures bearing dynamic loads; for example: equipment platforms
HN of which the H-shaped steel height and flange width have the ratio of more than or equal to 2 is mainly used for beams; the applications of I-shaped steel is equivalent to those of HN steel;
Length: 9m-12m (capable of being machined and manufactured according to customer requirements)
